An urgent phone call from my mother, an angry sister and no blog...the result...a blog tonight for all to read. The last few days have been rather interesting. If you want to read a good blog on the events of Saturday see Steve's blog. It is official, we are dating (sorry Jaymee). Steve's blog gives an account and well I cannot top it so I merely will point all to the link on my page that reads Steve. He is an amazing guy, extremely talented when it comes to singing (although he will argue that) and he is loads of fun to hang out with. I am blessed to know him. Thank you Steve for all you have and continue to do. I do know that everyone I have talked to simply says "we saw it coming, hows that news?" Well, I'm sorry if it is not news but hey just thought I would write it down.
Saturday was a good day however Sunday was, well, long. 10 hours at the front desk, 2 hours sitting in a hospital with a girl who had the flu and 3 hours in Red Deer with Steve made for a long day but it was good.
Monday, I would be a fool if I said I remembered anything that happened on Monday as it just is a big blur in my mind. I think Monday was yesterday but at this point in time I cannot remember. Oh wait, righto! I woke up early to study as I had a test then...Right right, its coming back. Steve and I went to a friends performance at the local music festival and then headed into Red Deer to watch Adri's soccer game. Adri had an amazing goal but I'll let her blog about the rest.
Now for the good stuff...today! I completely slept through my first two classes, but apparently I wasn't the only one. Adri did not hear her or my alarm, Azalea never heard her alarms and some other girls had the same problem. Its just something that happens to college students around this time of the year. They get so tired because of papers and tests and their bodies just start to shut down. A text from Steve woke me up as I must have turned off the alarm and put the phone beside me on my pillow. The next thing I know my phone is buzzing and the clock reads 10 something. I groan as I realize I have completely missed both classes. I get up anyways and watch as my left arm beats up and down, for some reason it developed some sort of pulse and tonight as I write this its rather numb. I must have slept on it funny last night. After getting a shower and realizing my hair was a hopeless wreck for that day I resolved to just let it (my hair) do its own thing and I went downstairs and hung out with Azalea in the dean's office until Steve got out of class. At 1:15 I went to class and we discussed none other then The Lady of Shalott. It was amusing to look around the room and watch as girls mouth moved along when Bert read "There she weaves by night and day, a magic web of colors gay, for she has heard a whisper say, a curse be on her if she stay to look down to Camelot." And of course the other line "Willows whiten, aspens quiver..." these are all the lines from Anne of Green Gables. I love that movie and if it has not been watched by someone reading this blog I highly suggest you watch it.
After class Azalea and I decided to watch A Walk to Remember...so sad but once again I love that movie. At 3:30 I was forced to pause the movie and take a second personality test (I get the results on Thursday. Hey what happens if you fail a personality test...does that mean you don't have a personality?) After rushing through the test I ran back to the room so we could finish watching the movie before heading into Red Deer which we did at 5:30. I bought some new shirts as everyone says I have no colorful shirts (I tell you, black shirts are colorful). Then we hit up Chapters where I had too much fun buying Pride and Prejudice and A Tale of Two Cities. I also discovered A Tale of Two Cities has one of the longest run on sentences I have ever seen (see the first paragraph of the book "it was the best of times it was the worst of time...") its super long. I must say I cannot wait to read these books, one of which I must read for class anyways. I currently have a lot of books on the go, so, whats two more :) After this I received a phone call from my mom and sister and then picked Steve up and went out to Timmy's. For hall worship I we watched I Love Lucy and had a devotional...no we aren't total heathens...just half. Anyways...
This section is especially for my little sister Jaymee...I am just writing to say that I am sorry for no longer being part of the single Kirkby sisters club. However, I am still your sister and I know that you will find an amazing guy sometime soon...you are only 15. When I was 15 I had not even had my first boyfriend yet. Enjoy being single, use this time to figure out who you are and what you want to do with your life. Check out the guys and make lots of friends. College is only a few years away and that my sister, is where the guys are. Just know that I will always be your sister and although you like to pretend you are Beth off of Little Women, know that soon you too will be off and having adventures of your own. Enjoy the time you have now and live your life to its fullest!
To everyone else...have a great night

Well thank you for the nutshell of the past few days. Yes I had read Steve's blog so I knew why you weren't writing. Just too busy...
Anyhow glad things are going well. May the Lord continue to bless and keep you.
As for the personality test... you have tons and tons of personality. Of which we all enjoy.
I hope you have a good day. (you read like me, 10 books on the go!!!) It keeps the old mind wondering what is really happening in each.
Anyhow I love you... thanks for calling back????!!!!! ;)
Love you
Love mom
Good afternoon Charlee, thanks for finding time to fit us into your busy life of sleeping, socializing and reading!! How often do you make class? Cary and I are still trying to figure out how "I Love Lucy" and worship go together, I tried before and got nowhere. In all honesty we are so happy for you and glad that life is smiling on you. 36 days!
